Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1st, 2026

Welcome to Gardenhood! By using our website or app (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If something here doesn't work for you, no worries — just don't use the Service.

1. What Gardenhood Does

Gardenhood helps neighbors connect to share and exchange surplus, homegrown garden produce. We're a platform — not a grower, seller, inspector, or delivery service. What you grow, buy, or share is always between you and your neighbor.

2. Who Can Use Gardenhood

You must be at least 18 years old to use Gardenhood. By using the Service, you're confirming that you can legally agree to these Terms.

3. Using Gardenhood the Right Way

We ask that you:

  • Be honest and accurate in your listings
  • Follow local and state laws, including food and cottage-food rules
  • Treat neighbors with respect
  • Use Gardenhood only for personal, neighborhood use

You're responsible for anything you list, exchange, or pick up.

4. Transactions Are Between Neighbors

All exchanges happen directly between users. Gardenhood doesn't inspect produce, set prices, or guarantee quality or safety. If something goes wrong, we encourage neighbors to work it out respectfully with each other.

5. No Promises (The Legal Part)

We do our best to make Gardenhood useful and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is." We can't promise that everything will always be perfect, available, or error-free.

6. Limiting Our Responsibility

To the extent allowed by law, Gardenhood isn't responsible for losses, disputes, food issues, or damages that come from using the Service. Using Gardenhood is at your own discretion.

7. Account Changes or Removal

If someone misuses Gardenhood or breaks these Terms, we may suspend or remove access to the Service to keep the community safe and welcoming.

8. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If you keep using Gardenhood after changes, that means you're okay with the updated version.

9. Legal Stuff

These Terms are governed by U.S. law and the laws of the state where Gardenhood operates.
